South of Johannesburg, an authentic Portuguese flame-grilled chicken restaurant called Chickenland was discovered by two great friends, Robert and Fernando. It was love at first taste! So much so that they took the leap, quit their jobs and brought the Chickenland restaurant - changing its name to Nando's. By the end of the year the first Nando's restaurant was trading. The two friends would take the best tasting chicken in the world, from the unassuming suburb of Rosettenville, to the world!
